F1 Singapore 2009 High Octane Action

Finally the high octane action is over in Singapore where the F1 Singapore Grand Prix completed its three days eventful race to the end. Since Saturday's practice and qualifying, Lewis Hamilton has picked up the pace and took the lead in both of these races.

On Sunday's final race, Lewis maintained that similar pace and won the race followed by Timo Glock in 2nd place and Fernando Alonso in 3rd position.

Here are the stats.
(1) Lewis Hamilton. Vodafone McLaren Mercedes. 1h 56m 06.337s S-S-SS
(2) Timo Glock. Panasonic Toyota Racing. 1h 56m 15.971s S-S-SS
(3) Fernando Alonso. Renault F1 Team. 1h 56m 22.961s S-S-SS

Throughout the entire Sunday night's race, you can see Lewis taking the lead and controlling the whole race, and he was controlling his vehicle very well in top place. Once again he is Singapore top favorite F1 driver.

Now... looking forward to next year's race on September 26, 2010. Prepare for it!

2009 F1 Singapore Grand Prix Friday Practice Race Results

First practice race to me is a good warm up run for every driver and vehicle. Came in first was Rubens Barrichello, followed by teammate Jenson Button both from Brawn-Mercdes team. On third is Mark Webber from RBR-Renault team.

But when it comes to the second practice run, looks like the rest of the drivers have had enough warm up and getting the race going. In first place was Sebastian Vettel from the RBR-Renault team, on second place is Fernando Alonso (Renault team) and on third position was Heikki Kovalainen from the McLaren-Mercedes team.

Looks like not only the heat is on on the race circuit, the crowds were flowing in to the other events outside the circuit. There is the F1 Rock concerts including performances by Strange Fruit, Vanessa Fernandez and also Interactive Drumming at the Esplanage Park Stage.

Those who likes shopping, F1 goodies are everywhere like F1 drivers suits, F1 model cars and other souvenirs.

Grand Prix Formula 1 Racing Game

I received an email on this online racing game which is simple and entertaining. The email is in fact advertising on job opportunities and at the same time promoting this week's main event of the week in Singapore - the Singapore Formula 1 Grand Prix 2009.

I find the game quite entertaining while also tickled to explore any job openings during this week. May be I could find some temporary jobs working at where the racing action is or I could work as a waiter-waitress or logistic coordinator during the F1 Rock concert events being held during this week and the next.

So what am I waiting for? Join in the race. Click on this link JobsDB.com Grand Prix Racing Game and you should see the same picture as shown below.

Singapore Grand Prix Hot Favorites

I remember last year's hot favorite driver and constructor for the Singapore 2008 first Grand Prix Night Race was Lewis Hamilton with McLaren-Mercedes. News about him winning the race was everywhere and rampant and even the school kids were mentioning his name.

Nobody would expect and nobody who Fernando Alonso was until he completed the 61 laps and won the race in first position for the Renault team.

So who are the hot favorites for this year's 2009 Singapore Grand Prix F1? Did you hear anything so far?

F1 Drivers and F1 Racing Cars

When I think about each of the F1 drivers taking up their positions at the starting line, there probably is no more wondering of what they have put in with regards to their training and discipline in preparing for the race. At the start line and after the flag off, every moment is moment of focus and concentration on finishing the race and finishing it well.

Finishing the race well is not done alone. It is done with a team whose sole desire is that the F1 driver and the F1 car are one. The driver knows the car and the car knows the driver. The driver also has to know every condition - his own condition, the condition of his car whether it is time for a pit stop to change the tires, the condition of the racing track and the condition of the surroundings like the weather and the lighting.

Stay focus and strong concentration for all the drivers and team members for a good race this week. Vroom!

The Sound of Formula One Racing

Singapore held its first Formula One Grand Prix last year 2008 and being the first it was also its first night race. Wow! It was exciting then and it is still exciting now. While I was around the vicinity of the racing circuit, I get to hear the sound of rubble. It sounds horrifying. It is a different sound from the Jumbo aeroplane or the National Day Parade Fly Pass fighter planes. It was the sound of rockets on land. Even better than the one screened in the movie of Michael J Fox in his Back To The Future vehicle.

The sound of the Singapore drift begins with 3 practice races and one qualifying and the final race to the Finish Line. The last I heard about the need for these practice races so that both the drivers and their race cars get adjusted to the circuit. Getting feedback from the field is important so that immediate action can be taken to improve so as to provide the best and safiest circuit for all the drivers.

Singapore F1

The need for speed began when I was just passing by the shopping area where the next Singapore F1 race is going to be held. Wow! All the logistics and preparation for the big event in Singapore. It is really like preparing all the props for my puppet show but it is on a much bigger scale.

Just one week away is the race where the main event is on Sunday, September 27th. One special thing about this Singapore F1 race is that it is going to be a night race. Wow again! It is ok to drive in normal speed in the night but driving in super high speed and driving in the night, the drivers must surely be super focused and their eyes fixed on the race.

I pray that each of the race drivers will come off safe and sound, so that after the race their lives' races continues.
