Formula One Car Wheels and Tires

Every part plays a unique role in the entire Formula One championship. And every part must play their role as perfectly and above expectation so as to ensure the race is run in the best of the best situation.

Formula one car wheels are just of the important feature of the race. You may just see the car and driver zoom pass and you may catch a glimpse of the beautiful car and the awesome driver in the seat. Try catching a glimpse of the wheels in action - the tires in revolution action.

Formula one car tires (tyres) are used where they must be able to withstand all the various conditions the race requires. So the selection of the best tires is very crucial to the race. They must meet the specification as detailed out by the Formula One Association.

In the event of a pit stop, the vehicle is teamed with a group of specialist who are ready to change each of the following selection of weather tires.
(1) Dry weather tires - 14 sets
(2) Wet weather tires - 4 sets
(3) Extreme weather tires - 3 sets

Each of these weather tires will come into action when the weather condition requires it. In the Singapore Grand Prix environment, I supposed the dry weather tires suffice.

See the tires in revolution action vrooming the F1 car forward.

Formula One Car

As I looked back at the championship of Lewis Hamilton winning the first position of last weekend's F1 2009 Singapore Grand Prix, I was attracted and drawn by the beauty of the Formula One Car and the Formula One Driver, both working together with the teamwork of their Constructor.

Seeing the picture of the Formula One car, I thought of how this vehicle has transformed through the times. I remember seeing on cartoon animations of simple illustrations of the car and driver. It was very straight forward. I recalled playing the amusement arcade game where the simple racing car was racing to pick up all the items before the time is up. The bird's eye view of the car was simple.

Look at picture of the previous post and you get what I mean. Now take a look at the picture below, taken from http://img.timeinc.net/time/photoessays/2009/F1/race16.jpg.
